Erbil... Opening of Direct Greek "Aegean Airlines" Route from Athens to Erbil, the Capital of Kurdistan Region

On the evening of Tuesday, April 15, 2025, in the presence of Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil; Mahmoud Mohammed and Zagros Fattah, members of the KDP Political Bureau; Safeen Dizayee, Head of the KRG Department of Foreign Relations; the Ambassador of Greece to Iraq; the Consul General of Greece; and a number of other officials, the direct Greek Aegean Airlines route from Athens to Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, was opened in a ceremony.
