Tehran... The Governor of Erbil participated in the opening of the Irans’s largest international trade and industry exhibition (Iran - Expo 2025)
On Sunday, April 28, 2025, Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, accompanied by Shakir Hussein, Head of Relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Masoud Batli, Director of the Haji Omaran International Border Crossing, participated in the opening of the largest international trade and industry exhibition (Iran - Expo 2025) in Tehran, the capital of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The exhibition was opened with the attendance of Masoud Pezeshkian, President of Iran, and a number of other ministers, parliamentarians, and high-ranking officials from the countries, as well as investors, businesspeople, and traders from the Kurdistan Region and other countries. After the opening of the exhibition, the Governor of Erbil, accompanied by the Deputy Governor of Tehran and the representative of the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, toured the sections of the exhibition and met with the Deputy Governor of Kurdistan - Sanandaj, the Deputy Head of the Iran Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and a number of other businesspeople and investors from the country and the world.
It is worth noting that the 7th Exhibition of Iranian Exporters, "Iran Expo 2025", which will be held for five days at the permanent venue of Tehran International Exhibitions, includes the participation of more than 800 Iranian companies from various sectors, including food industry, agriculture, technology, pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, handicrafts, and services. The Governor of Erbil has been officially invited to the opening of the exhibition, and a business delegation from the Kurdistan Region and more than 100 other countries from around the world have been invited to the exhibition for negotiations and business cooperation.
