Governors of Erbil and Kermanshah Hold Meeting

On Tuesday, May 20, 2025, Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, met with Dr. Manouchehr Habibi, Governor of Kermanshah, on the sidelines of the third joint meeting of the governors of the border provinces of the Kurdistan Region and the Islamic Republic of Iran. 

 

During the meeting, the Governor of Kermanshah presented an overview of his province's cities in terms of industry, trade, and tourism. He emphasized strengthening the relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Islamic Republic of Iran and boosting commercial activity between Erbil and Kermanshah. 

The Governor of Erbil, for his part, reaffirmed strengthening relations and boosting trade. He hoped that with greater cooperation from the Kermanshah Governor, necessary procedures and mechanisms for Erbil-Kermanshah trade and industrial relations would see more progress. Then, he formally invited the Governor of Kermanshah to visit Erbil, the capital.

For his part, the Governor of Kermanshah gratefully accepted the invitation.
