President Barzani Welcomes a Delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran

On Monday, July 28, 2025, in Salahaddin, President Masoud Barzani welcomed a delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran headed by the Honorable Reza Rahmani, Governor of West Azerbaijan.
 

In the meeting, the Governor of West Azerbaijan conveyed the special greetings of Mr. Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, to President Barzani. He also thanked the Kurdistan Regional Government for providing excellent facilities for the pilgrims who visit Iraq via the Haji Omran border crossing.
 

Also in that meeting, the historic friendship and relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Islamic Republic of Iran were emphasized, along with the development of economic relations and trade activity between the two sides.
