Erbil Governor Participates in the Second Anniversary of the International Day for Dialogue Among Civilizations
Today, Wednesday, June 17, 2026, Omed Khoshnaw, the Governor of Erbil, as part of strengthening international relations with global centers, participated in a special ceremony marking the second anniversary of the International Day for Dialogue Among Civilizations.
At the ceremony, which was attended by a number of government officials, party and political representatives, diplomats, and country representatives, participants emphasized the importance of developing dialogue, mutual understanding, and accepting cultural diversity among peoples as a fundamental principle for establishing global peace and stability.
For his part, the Governor of Erbil, while commending the supervisors of the ceremony, noted that the capital of the Kurdistan Region, Erbil, as an ancient historical and cultural center in the region, always supports international initiatives that serve peaceful coexistence and cultural exchange among different civilizations.
