Governor of Erbil Receives Delegation from a Chinese Industrial Company

Today, Tuesday, October 20, 2026, Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, in the presence of Musa Ahmed, President of the Barzani Charity Foundation, received a delegation from a Chinese industrial company at the governorate office to discuss the development of industrial projects within the Erbil Governorate.
During the meeting, with the aim of creating job opportunities and strengthening economic infrastructure, discussions focused on developing industrial projects, attracting foreign investment, and leveraging the expertise of Chinese companies across various sectors in the capital, Erbil. Emphasis was placed on advancing the industrial sector, and both sides agreed on the importance of attracting Chinese investors and utilizing the country's advanced technology in the Kurdistan Region in general, and Erbil in particular.
 

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Governor of Erbil expressed the full readiness of the governorate's institutions to provide all necessary facilitation to serve the city's development and enhance the industrial sector in the Kurdistan Region.
