Governor of Erbil for checkpoint security: “The checkpoints show the beauty of our city in hospitality and love”

On Friday, December 30, 2022. Erbil Governor, Omed Khoshnaw, accompanied by Erbil Director General of Tourism and Director of Internal Affairs of the Erbil governorate, in order to closely observe how to welcome guests and tourists from central and southern Iraq who come to the Kurdistan Regional Government capital on the occasion of the New Year, he visited Sherawa checkpoint and was welcomed by the Director of Security of Erbil checkpoints and officers.

After visiting all the measures and procedures identified to welcome guests and tourists, the governor thanked the efforts and hard work of the director of security checkpoints and employees and officers for carrying out their duties.

He also stressed that the General Directorate of Tourism and the security of Erbil checkpoints, in addition to their own plans, programs and procedures, to welcome the large number of tourists who annually come to the Kurdistan Regional Government from central and southern Iraq, facilitate them.

He also said: “The checkpoints show the beauty of our city in hospitality and love, so as much as you can welcome guests and tourists to respect all citizens, tourists and people who come into the capital Erbil”.
