The Governor of Erbil visited the Kurdistan Lawyers Union

Today, Tuesday, January 3, 2023. Erbil Governor, Omed Khoshnaw, accompanied by Deputy Governor Hemin Qadir, Erbil Central Mayor, Nabaz Abdulhamid and the Head of Erbil Municipality, Abdulwahid Ahmad, on the occasion of Kurdistan Lawyers Day, he visited the Kurdistan Bar Association and was welcomed by Bakhtiar Haider, President and members of the Council of the Kurdistan Bar Association.

The governor of Erbil, on the occasion of the Kurdistan Lawyers Day, congratulated them and wished them success and further progress, said: "Lawyers are an influential sector of law enforcement in the Kurdistan Region, we hope that role and influence more to serve society and protect the rule of law.".

It is worth mentioning that on January 3, 1993, the Kurdistan Parliament passed a resolution to establish the Kurdistan Bar Association and that day was made Kurdistan Lawyers Day. Every year, lawyers throughout Kurdistan commemorate this day.
