The Governor of Erbil receives the Mayor of Lambeth County, south of London

Today, Wednesday, August 30, 2023, the Governor of Erbil, Omed Khoshnaw, received at the Governor’s Office, the Mayor of Lambeth County in South London, Sarbaz Barzanji.

During the meeting, which was attended by Dr. Dlovan Muhammad, Director General of Health in Erbil, the Governor of Erbil congratulated the Mayor of Lambeth, a young Kurd who was able to obtain the position of district mayor with a majority of votes and he took the oath in traditional Kurdish clothing, saying: "We are all proud of you, and we wish you success in your work, and we want to see many people like you in other countries around the world."

The Mayor of Lambeth, Sarbaz Barzanji, thanked the Governor of Erbil for his hospitality and stated that despite their duties in the United Kingdom, they consider themselves to be representatives of all of Kurdistan and the Kurdish people, and they will do everything in their power to serve Kurdistan.

The final topic of the meeting was the expansion and strengthening of friendly relations and cooperation between the Kurdistan Region and the United Kingdom. Then, Governor of Erbil Omed Khoshnaw presented Mayor of Lambeth, London Sarbaz Barzanji with a gift from the Erbil Governorate.
