 The Mesopotamia Tourism and Agriculture Exhibition in Diyarbakir kicks off with the participation of the Erbil Governorate delegation

On Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at the Diyarbakir International Fair, the 15th Mesopotamia Exhibition for Tourism, Culinary Arts, and Agriculture kicked off. In the presence of Omed Khoshnaw, the Governor of Erbil, Politician and prominent personality Ahmed Turk, heads of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry from Erbil, Diyarbakir, and Al-Jazeera, along with several parliamentarians, tourism and agriculture directors from both regions, and heads of Erbil and Diyarbakir Municipalities. Additionally, numerous investors from the two areas attended the event.

During his address, the Governor of Erbil extended congratulations to the exhibition organizers and conveyed his best wishes to all participants. He expressed, "As representatives of the Erbil Governorate delegation, we are delighted to take part in this exhibition being hosted in Diyarbakir for the second consecutive time."

The Governor of Erbil further remarked, "I convey the peace and warm regards of His Excellency Prime Minister Masrour Barzani to the people of Diyarbakir. I also extend my gratitude to the President of the Diyarbakir Chamber of Commerce and Industry for their gracious invitation. We emphasize the importance of enhancing and fortifying our relations in a manner that benefits both parties."

 

Governor Omed Khoshnaw additionally extended congratulations to Amed Sports Club for clinching the Turkish Premier League title and expressed wishes for their continued success. He stated, "The Kurdistan Region is committed to furthering its ties with Turkey and other regional and global nations across all domains, aiming for continual development and enhancement."
 

In a separate segment of his speech, Governor Omid Khoshnaw of Erbil highlighted the visit of the Turkish President to Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, and his discussions with President Barzani and the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region. He characterized this visit as a positive step towards enhancing relations between Turkey and the Kurdistan Region.

He extended congratulations to the presidents of Diyarbakir Municipalities and other cities for their success in the Turkish elections, expressing his wishes for their continued success. He emphasized the importance of providing facilities and assistance to Turkish investors and pledged support for the chambers of commerce in both Diyarbakir and Erbil.
 

Regarding the imminent resumption of direct flights between Erbil and Diyarbakir, the Governor of Erbil expressed his satisfaction, stating, "Two years ago, we discussed this matter with the Governor of Diyarbakir, and today we are pleased with the outcomes."
