Diyarbakir.. Erbil Governor meets Ahmed Turk

On Tuesday, April 30, 2024, as part of a delegation visit from the Kurdistan Region to Diyarbakir city for the 15th Mesopotamia Tourism and Agriculture Exhibition, Erbil Governor Omed Khoshnaw met with politician and prominent figure Ahmet Turk.

During the meeting, Ahmed Turk conveyed his greetings and appreciation to President Barzani, the President of the Kurdistan Region, and the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government.
He expressed his hope that the Kurdistan Region, as always, would play a major role in resuming the peace process in Turkey, especially after the recent municipal elections demonstrated the true will of the Turkish people.
 

He stressed the need for the Turkish government to take the initiative for reconciliation by releasing political prisoners and resuming peace talks unconditionally.

For his part, the governor congratulated him and the other mayors and wished them success in their duties.

He emphasized that President Barzani consistently underscores the importance of the peace process and ongoing negotiations, viewing the Kurdistan Regional Government as a stabilizing force and integral part of the solution.
 

Erbil's Governor stated, "A peaceful resolution is a rightful aspiration and should garner the backing of all political parties," signifying the readiness of the Kurdistan Regional Government to partake in any such initiative.
