France.. Meeting between the Governor of Erbil and the Secretary-General of Amman

Today, Thursday, July 25, 2024, Omed Khoshnaw, the Governor of Erbil, met with Dr. Yousef Al-Shawarbeh, the Secretary-General of Amman, the capital of Jordan, in Paris, the capital of France. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Climate Change Conference and within the framework of attending the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

During the meeting, emphasis was placed on strengthening and further developing relations between the Kurdistan Region and Jordan, and between Erbil and Amman. The Governor of Erbil officially invited His Excellency to visit Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, and in return, His Excellency officially invited the Governor of Erbil to visit Amman. Both parties gratefully accepted each other's invitations and reaffirmed their commitment to further developing their relations.
 

In another part of the meeting, they discussed creating opportunities for Jordanian companies, noting that several Jordanian brands are currently operating in Erbil. They also discussed coordination between Salahaddin University and Jordanian universities, highlighting the conference that was recently held in Erbil with the participation of many Jordanian universities.
