United Nations Special Representative Arrives in Erbil, the Capital

On the evening of Saturday, October 19, 2024, Omed Khoshnaw, the Governor of Erbil, welcomed Dr. Mohamed Al-Hassan, the United Nations Special Representative in Iraq, at Erbil International Airport. Dr. Al-Hassan is visiting the Kurdistan Region to observe the election process.
 

In the meeting, the Governor of Erbil welcomed and congratulated him on his appointment as the UN Representative in Iraq, highlighting the significance of the UN’s monitoring of the election process. He expressed his wishes for success in his role and stressed the importance of strengthening relations between the Kurdistan Region and the United Nations.
