Erbil… On World Diabetes Day, a Special Conference Was Held

Today, Saturday, November 16, 2024, in the presence of Omed Khoshnaw, the Governor of Erbil, alongside a number of doctors, specialists, healthcare workers, and enthusiasts, a scientific conference on diabetes was held in the capital city of Erbil in recognition of World Diabetes Day.

During the conference, several studies were presented on diabetes, its treatments, prevention, and guidelines for managing the disease.

It is worth mentioning that diabetes is one of the most dangerous diseases, often referred to as the “silent killer.” It is a chronic condition that can persist throughout a person’s life. Diabetes occurs either due to an increase in glucose production in the blood or a deficiency in the insulin hormone, eventually damaging blood vessels and the human heart.
