In Istanbul... A Kurdistan Region delegation participated in several panels to develop relations and expand mutual economic interests
On Wednesday, November 27, 2024. The Kurdistan Region delegation, consisting of Ano Jawhar, Minister of Transport and Communications, Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, Aydin Maruf Selim, Minister of State for Minority Affairs, Sarwar Hawari, Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, along with presidents and members of Erbil and Sulaymaniyah Chambers of Commerce, participated in several panels during the second day of MUSIAD EXPO 2024 in Istanbul, Turkey, focusing on developing relations, expanding trade movement, and enhancing mutual economic interests between Turkey, various countries, the Kurdistan Region, and Iraq.
After presenting several discussions in the panels, one-on-one dialogues between the delegation of the Kurdistan Region and the businessmen of the region and Turkey commenced. These dialogues focused on the economic situation and ways to strengthen trade and industrial relations, as well as discussing trade movements, the state of the market, and finding suitable solutions to advance the economic situation between the Kurdistan Region and Turkey.
In this context, both sides agreed to intensify efforts within the framework of effective regulations, laws, and guidelines to further promote and develop economic, trade, and industrial relations between them. With great enthusiasm, the Kurdistan Region delegation expressed their readiness to provide all legal and administrative facilities to all Turkish companies, businessmen, and investors who wish to play a role in advancing, developing, and promoting trade, industry, and investment within the Kurdistan Region.
