Erbil Governor Visits Disability Association on International Day for Persons with Disabilities

Today, Tuesday, December 3, 2024, Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, visited the Council of the Association for People with Disabilities and Special Needs on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
 

Erbil Governor extended his congratulations while reaffirming Erbil Governorate’s commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities and special needs. He emphasized that the Kurdistan Regional Government in serving society as a whole, with particular focus on groups requiring additional care and services, has constantly tried to pay more attention to their demands at the level of all institutions.
 

December 3rd, recognized by the United Nations since 1992 as the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, is an important occasion dedicated to honoring and supporting individuals with special needs. Each year, this day is marked with various activities aimed at promoting their rights and fostering their inclusion in society.
