The Kurdistan Region delegation arrives in Sanandaj (Kurdistan Province)

Today, Tuesday, May 20, 2025, the Kurdistan Regional Government delegation, consisting of Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, Dr. Haval Abubakr, Governor of Sulaymaniyah, Dr. Ali Tatar, Governor of Duhok, Nuxsha Nasih, Governor of Halabja, Shaker Hussein, Head of Region-Iran Relations, officials from the Haji Omran and Bashmakh International Border Crossings, the heads of the Chambers of Commerce of the Region's provinces, and their accompanying delegation, arrived at the airport of the city of Sanandaj (Kurdistan Province). They were warmly welcomed by Arash Zarehtan Lahoni, Governor of Kurdistan, representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Interior of Iran, and a number of other high-ranking officials of the city.
 

The Kurdistan Regional Government delegation is scheduled to hold several important meetings today and tomorrow in the city of Sanandaj, as part of the third meeting of border provinces. They will meet with the governors of the provinces of West Azerbaijan (Urmia), Kurdistan (Sanandaj), and Kermanshah. The purpose of these meetings is to strengthen trade movement and promote cultural and economic relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Kurdistan Region.
