Governors of Erbil and Kurdistan Hold Meeting

Today, Tuesday, May 20, 2025, Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, met with Arash Zarehtan Lahoni, Governor of Kurdistan, on the sidelines of the third joint meeting of the governors of the border provinces of the Kurdistan Region and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

During the meeting, both sides emphasized the advancement, improvement, and strengthening of trade and industrial movement in all sectors, and the development of relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

For his part, the Governor of Erbil, in addition to thanking the Governor of Kurdistan for the reception, expressed his full readiness to develop relations and improve trade and industrial movement between Kordestan Province and Erbil Province in all sectors.

He stated, "Today's meeting with you is the first, but we hope that after these meetings, understanding and agreement between us will deepen, and our relations in all areas will see more development."

Finally, the Governor of Erbil formally invited the Governor of Kurdistan to visit Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region. The Governor of Kordestan gladly accepted the invitation.
