Ahmet Davutoglu, President of Turkish Future Party, Welcomed on Erbil Citadel

On Thursday evening, May 22, 2025, Hemin Qadir, Acting Governor of Erbil, accompanied by Falah Hassan, Acting Chairman of the High Commission for the Citadel's Restoration, and Brigadier General Khosrow Ghazi, Director of Internal Affairs at the Erbil Governorate, welcomed Ahmet Davutoglu, President of the Future Party, and a high-level delegation from his party on the historical Erbil Citadel in the capital.

Acting Erbil Governor Hemin Qadir and Falah Hassan welcomed the guest delegation warmly during a meeting. They showed their happiness for the visit to the Citadel and its cultural sites, stressing the Citadel's prominent history as the only continuously inhabited place. In the meantime, several joint Kurdish and Turkish cultural songs were presented at the Cultural House of Cihan University.

Later, the visiting delegation toured Erbil's Qaysari Bazaar and Machko Tea House, where they had discussions with shopkeepers and residents.

During the discussions, the government's efforts to provide services and strengthen security and stability were discussed. Also, there was discussion about implementing joint projects in Erbil, which would lead to the expansion of cooperation between the Kurdistan Region and Turkey, and this is within the framework of the Regional Government's support in that direction.
