Erbil… Kurdistan-Germany Friendship Association Celebrates Anniversary


On Sunday, May 25, 2025, a special ceremony marking the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Kurdistan-Germany Friendship Association and the initiative for the aforementioned association's advisory service project was held in Erbil, the capital. The event was attended by Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, and a number of other foreign envoys and administrative and government officials.


In a speech during the ceremony, the Governor of Erbil congratulated the association on its 10th anniversary and praised it for strengthening the relations between the peoples of Kurdistan and Germany in the cultural, intellectual, scientific, and social fields. He wished them success and continuity in introducing the identity and just cause of the Kurdish nation to the peoples of Germany and Europe, and in facilitating and assisting Kurds residing in Europe.


He also hoped that the association would continue its civil, cultural, and social work and projects aimed at building and strengthening its relations with European and Kurdistan institutions. For this purpose, he reiterated his full cooperation and support.
