Erbil… Fourth "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Proficiency Competition for University Students takes place

Today, Monday, June 2, 2025, Hemin Qadir, Deputy Governor, representing the Governor of Erbil, attended the ceremony of the 24th Chinese Bridge - Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign University Students. The event was attended by the Consul General of China, government officials, university professors, and students, and was organized by the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Erbil, in cooperation with the Faculty of Languages, Chinese Department, Salahaddin University. 

 

In that event, which was held at the Cultural Center of the College of Engineering, a significant number of talented students participated in the scientific competition. The first-place winners were selected by the judges and presented with well-deserved awards. 

 

This type of activity is organized internationally with the aim of better acquainting foreign students with the Chinese language. In Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, a considerable number of students are enthusiastic about learning Chinese and are currently studying in the Chinese language department. 

 

It is worth mentioning that during the fourth "Chinese Bridge" Chinese proficiency competition for university students, several artistic and cultural activities were presented.
