President Barzani Visits French Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Continuing his visit to France, on the evening of Friday, September 5, 2025, President Masoud Barzani visited the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Paris and was received by Jean-Noël Barrot, the French Minister of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, while emphasizing the historical relationship and friendship between the people of Kurdistan and France, the development of relations between the two sides was stressed, and light was shed on President Macron's expected visit to Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, which will take place this year. Also in the meeting, the relations between Erbil and Baghdad and the necessity of adhering to the constitution and resolving problems were discussed.

In another part of the meeting, the threats of terrorism and the necessity of coordination between parties to confront terrorism were deliberated, and the French Foreign Minister reiterated his country's continuous support for the Kurdistan Region.
