Erbil Governor and Şırnak Governor Visit Several Cultural and Historical Sites in the Bazaar

On Monday afternoon, October 13, 2025, Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, and Birol Ekici, Governor of Şırnak, accompanied by Aydin Maarouf, Minister of State for Component Affairs; Erman Topçu, the new Consul General of Turkey in Erbil; Karzan Abdulhadi, Mayor of Erbil; Gailan Haji Saeed, President of Erbil Chamber of Commerce; Mehmet Yarka, Mayor of Şırnak; Osman Geliş, President of Şırnak Chamber of Commerce; and Ömer Faruk Yıldırım, President of Cizre Chamber of Commerce, visited several cultural and historical sites in the Qaysari Bazaar, Yasin Kebab restaurant, and the historic Mam Khalil Teahouse, with the aim of closely interacting with the people of Erbil and experiencing the city's culture and history.

The Governor of Şırnak thanked the Governor of Erbil and expressed his admiration for the ancient culture and history of Erbil city. He reiterated his pleasure with the visit and the peace, security, and freedom prevalent in the Kurdistan Region in general and the capital Erbil in particular, and praised the progress and development of the capital Erbil.
