Ahmet Davutoglu Arrives in Erbil

Today, Monday, November 17, 2025, Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, accompanied by Erman Topcu, Consul General of Turkey in Erbil, welcomed Ahmet Davutogmlu, politician, Future Party leader, former Turkish Prime Minister, and friend of the Kurds, at Erbil International Airport. Davutoglu is scheduled to participate in the Middle East Peace and Security Forum (MEPS2025) at the American University of Kurdistan in Duhok.
 

During the meeting, he expressed his pleasure and admiration for visiting the capital Erbil, which is constantly developing and progressing. He highly praised all projects and restoration works of cultural and historical sites, especially the renovation of Erbil's Grand Cemetery. He also congratulated the people of Kurdistan and Iraq on the successful voting process and expressed hope for a new and better phase in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region in all respects.
