In Erbil... The 16-Day Campaign to Combat Violence Against Women Has Begun
Today, Tuesday, November 25, 2025, in the presence of Reber Ahmed, Minister of Interior, the Governor of Erbil, and a number of other ministers and representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations, on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence, the 16-day campaign to combat violence against women in Erbil was launched by the Supreme Council of Women and Development, and several activities on this topic were presented.
The campaign will last for (16) days, and during this campaign, efforts will be made on how to confront violence against women, and several seminars will be held and discussions will take place on this topic. In this campaign, the relevant parties are expected to present statistics and data on the violence committed against women.
It is worth mentioning that November (25) of every year has been designated as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, and this commemoration has been held annually since 1981.
