Governor of Erbil Receives a Delegation of Women from Northern Kurdistan Municipalities

This morning, Tuesday, December 2, 2025, Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, received a delegation of women from the municipalities of Diyarbakır, Nusaybin, and Sanlıurfa in Northern Kurdistan, who visited the Governorate Diwan accompanied by the Board of the Kurdistan Parliamentarians' Union.
 

The Governor of Erbil expressed his happiness at the visit of the mayors from Northern Kurdistan and referred to the pioneering role of Kurdish women in Northern Kurdistan, describing the changes in the Kurdish situation as positive and emphasizing the necessity of strengthening and further opening their relations with the official centers in Southern Kurdistan.

For their part, the delegation of women from Northern Kurdistan municipalities thanked the Governor of Erbil for the warm welcome and presented their visit agenda to the Governor, which, in addition to strengthening their social relations, also aimed to familiarize themselves with the pioneering role of women in the municipalities and official institutions of the Kurdistan Regional Government.
 

At the end of the meeting, the Governor of Erbil expressed his full readiness and wished them a successful stay and agenda for their visit.
It is worth mentioning that the Mayor of Erbil, the Director General of Erbil Municipalities, and the Director of Crises in Erbil Governorate were present at the meeting.
