The Governor of Erbil congratulates workers on International Labour Day

On the occasion of May 1st, International Labour Day, we extend our congratulations to all workers in the Kurdistan Region in general, and especially to the workers within Erbil Governorate.
 

We wish each and every one of them success and good health, as they are the main drivers of our country's prosperity and development with their intellect and strength. Throughout the history of our people, workers have always been examples of resilience and dedication.
 

In the phases of rebuilding, developing, and making Erbil the capital and Kurdistan prosperous, the tireless hands of our workers have been behind all the projects and achievements we see. They form the foundation of the economy and are essential to the nation's stability. Their hard work deserves the highest respect and appreciation.
 

As Erbil Governorate, in light of the agenda of the Ninth Cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government, we reiterate that we will always be supporters and advocates of workers' legitimate rights. We reaffirm our commitment to implementing labor laws and providing a safe and dignified working environment, so that no worker's rights are violated and their safety is protected.
 

Once again, congratulations on this day to all workers and their proud families, and a salute to the pure souls of those workers who sacrificed their lives for their livelihood while working.
