Erbil Governor Visits Republican People's Party Headquarters in Diyarbakir

As part of his official visit to Diyarbakir, on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, visited the headquarters of the Republican People's Party (CHP) in Diyarbakir. He was welcomed by Mehmet Berq, Head of the CHP Diyarbakir office, and Sezgin Tanrıkulu, CHP Member of Parliament.
During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening social and cultural relations and discussed opportunities for commercial cooperation between the two sides. They also reiterated the importance of peace initiatives for regional stability.
 

For his part, the Governor of Erbil thanked the CHP officials for their warm welcome and wished them success in their work.
 

Finally, both sides expressed their readiness to continue meetings and exchange views.
