Erbil Governor Visits DEM Party Headquarters in Diyarbakır

As part of his official visit to Diyarbakır, on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, Omed Khoshnaw, the Governor of Erbil, visited the headquarters of the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) in Diyarbakır. This visit comes during his participation in the "Social Peace and Freedom Forum" being held in Diyarbakır.
During the meeting, emphasis was placed on active participation in the forum's panels with the aim of establishing justice, the rule of law, and deepening the principles of peace in the region.

Furthermore, the development of cultural, social, and economic relations and cooperation between Erbil Governorate and Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality was stressed.

The importance of constructive dialogue and peaceful coexistence was reiterated as the only solution for political stability and social development in the region as a whole.
