President Barzani Receives a Delegation from Najaf Governorate

On Monday, May 18, 2026, President Masoud Barzani received Mr. Yousef Makki al-Ghannawi, the Governor of Najaf, and members of the Najaf Provincial Council.
During the meeting, in addition to discussing the political situation in Iraq, light was shed on the historical relations between the Kurdistan Region and Najaf Governorate. Emphasis was also placed on developing relations between the two sides in the fields of reconstruction, environment, and other sectors.
