Van... Erbil Governor Visits Ercis Fish Dam

On Sunday, June 7, 2026, Omed Khoshnaw, the Governor of Erbil, as part of his official visit to the city of Van, visited the Ercis Fish Dam area. The visit, during which he was accompanied by the President of Presidency of Erbil Municipality, the Director General of Erbil Tourism, the President of the Duhok Chamber of Commerce, a representative of the Barzani Charity Foundation, and a number of members of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce, aimed to develop cooperation between the two sides and exchange experiences in the tourism sector, irrigation infrastructure, and to learn about projects for environmental protection and fish farming. The goal is to benefit from these experiences in the future for implementing similar projects within the Erbil Governorate.
