Erbil... Third Anniversary of "Invest Kurdistan" Platform Held on the Citadel

On Sunday evening, June 21, 2026, the third anniversary of the establishment of the "Invest Kurdistan" platform was held on Erbil Citadel, with the presence of Sasan Awni, Minister of Municipalities; Dr. Mohammed Shukri, Head of the Board of Investment; Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil; Dr. Jotiar Adil, Head of the Department of Media and Information; and a group of local and foreign investors.
 

During the ceremony, emphasis was placed on the achievements of the Invest Kurdistan platform over the past three years in attracting foreign capital and showcasing the region as a safe environment for investment. Alongside this, the steps taken for reform and digitalization of procedures to reduce bureaucracy and expedite project approvals were highly praised.
 

It was stressed that the Kurdistan Regional Government fully supports the private sector and offers all legal, administrative, and logistical facilitations to investors who wish to participate in rebuilding the capital's infrastructure and elevating Erbil's new position on the global tourism and economic map.

It is worth noting that "Invest Kurdistan" is an official brand and platform for attracting Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), launched by the Kurdistan Region Board of Investment in June 2023 to encourage both local and international investors. Its main goal is economic development, particularly in the agriculture, industry, and tourism sectors.
