Erbil Governor Receives President of Islamic Relief Worldwide

Today, Sunday, June 28, 2026, Omed Khoshnaw, the Governor of Erbil, received Zahid Jalbani, President of Islamic Relief Worldwide.
 

During the meeting, which was attended by Naz Jalal, Director of Crisis Management for the Governorate, the President of Islamic Relief Worldwide praised the effective role of the Governor of Erbil and the institutions of the Kurdistan Regional Government in facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid and the success of their charitable projects.

For his part, the Governor of Erbil, while commending their work, praised the organization for its continuous responsiveness in times of need to assist displaced persons and refugee camps within the Erbil Governorate. He also emphasized that the Governorate's doors are always open for any humanitarian initiative and reiterated the continuous support of Erbil Governorate for the organization.

At the end of the meeting, due to his continuous support for humanitarian projects, the development of service sectors, and assistance to displaced persons and refugees within the Governorate, the Governor of Erbil was presented with the organization's shield of honor by the President of Islamic Relief Worldwide.
