Governor of Erbil Visits French Consulate General

On Sunday morning, July 5, 2026, Omed Khoshnaw, the Governor of Erbil, accompanied by Hoger Ali, the Director of Trade Monitoring in Erbil, visited the French Consulate General.

They were warmly received by Yann Braem, the French Consul General.
 

In a friendly meeting, both sides discussed the development of mutual relations and the expansion of cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, and economic development between Erbil Governorate and France.

Furthermore, they emphasized the importance of the presence and protection of French brands within the Kurdistan Region’s market. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to continued coordination and cooperation to support economic and commercial growth.
