Under the supervision of the Prime Minister, the foundation stone of an 18-grade school was laid in Koya city at a cost of 2 billion dinars

On Sunday, December 18, 2022. Under the supervision of Mr. Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister, in the presence of Alan Hama Saeed, Minister of Education, Sasan Awni, Minister of Municipalities and Tourism and Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, accompanied by the Mayor of Koya District, Director General of Education of Erbil, Director of Municipality and Education of Koya and a number of other officials of the local administration.
The foundation stone of an 18-grade school was laid in Koya city at a cost of 2 billion dinars It is being built on duty of Candle Company.
The governor of Erbil told a press conference: "The school was planned to be built in one of the neighborhoods of Erbil, but it was transferred to Koya on the recommendation of Prime Minister Mr. Masrour Barzani".
He said: “For us as Erbil governorate, all districts are important and we will serve them as necessary. We emphasize that Koya is an important district of our governorate and as an ancient and historical city is our priority, in the past two years, some of the best projects within the framework of development projects in Erbil governorate have been presented to the beloved city.
He also said: "We assure the people of Koya that we will carry out several other important projects in 2023 according to the plans and programs available to us".
