In Erbil... The First HOSPEX 2026 International Tourism Exhibition Opens

Today, Wednesday, October 14, 2026, the first HOSPEX 2026 international exhibition, dedicated to tourism and hospitality supplies, opened at the Erbil International Fairground.
The opening ceremony was attended by Dr. Mohammed Shukri, Chairman of the Board of Investment; Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil; Sarwar Hawari, Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry; alongside a significant number of government officials and local and international investors in the tourism sector.

The event features the participation of over 140 companies and brands from the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and various other countries worldwide.

The exhibition, which will run for three days, is hosted and organized by Radnoor Company.
Its primary objective is to build a bridge of communication between the tourism sector and hoteliers in the Kurdistan Region and international companies, with the aim of further developing the economy and the service sector in the region.

It is worth noting that this exhibition comes at a time when the Kurdistan Regional Government has identified the tourism sector as a core pillar of its strategy to diversify revenue sources and revitalize the national economy. Organizing such events further strengthens the position of the capital, Erbil, as a major hub for tourism and investment in the region.
