President Barzani receives a delegation from International Universities Council

President Massoud Barzani received a delegation from the World Council of Universities in Salahaddin on Thursday, January 19, 2023, which included: Dr. Orhan Hikmet Azizoglu, President of International Universities Council, Prof. Dr. Kamaran Younis, President of Salahaddin University, Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamed Tahir Harki, President of Erbil Polytechnic University Dr. Sherwan Sharif Qurtas, President of Soran University and Prof. Dr Ahmed Anwar Dezaye, President of Bayan University.
 

During the meeting, the guest delegation briefed the delegation on the situation of universities and academic centers and the level of scientific development in the region. They also expressed their appreciation for President Barzani's concern for the past thirty years, which has always supported the universities and academic centers of the Kurdistan Region.

The meeting also exchanged views on the role of universities and scientific centers in promoting various aspects of Kurdistan society and raising the level of understanding and education of individuals.
