President Barzani receives the Consul of Kuwait in Erbil

On Sunday, January 29, 2023 President Masoud Barzani received Mr. Othman Dawoud Al-Dawoud , the Kuwaiti Consul General in Erbil, in Salahaddin. The Kuwaiti Consul General in Erbil conveyed the greetings of the Prince, the people and the government of Kuwait to President Barzani While emphasizing bilateral ties between the two nations, he praised the peace and prosperity of the Kurdistan Region and described it as exemplary.

During the meeting, President Barzani described the relations between the two nations as “deep and historic”, and that their people share the “pain and hardship inflicted by chauvinist ideas,” President Barzani stressed that For the sake of stability and brotherhood in the region, the ideas of chauvinism, self-imposition and occupation must end.

They also discussed the region’s political developments as well as relations between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the federal government.
