Erbil and Sulaymaniyah airports sell dollars at the rate of the Central Bank of Iraq

 The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) has decided to sell dollars to tourists at bank rates at Erbil and Sulaymaniyah airports.

Today Sunday, January 29, 2023. The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) in a statement, announced the expansion of dollar sales points for tourists at airports and international ports. According to the statement the central bank has ordered all branches of banks (Rafidain, Rasheed and TBI) at the airports (Baghdad, Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, Najaf and Basra) to sell dollars at bank rates to tourists who travel abroad up to five thousand dollars.

The Central Bank of Iraq said the dollar sales points will be open in the morning and evening, to benefit the largest number of tourists, he stressed that the sale of dollars in cash also includes tourists at border crossings, through special points of sale in banks, after submitting travel documents (visas or export documents for vehicles).

After the sharp rise of the dollar in the Iraqi markets, the federal government took several measures to increase the value of the dinar, including the sale of dollars at the same bank rate, which is (1460) dinars per dollar.
