The Turkish Consulate in Erbil commemorated the coup anniversary of July 15

This evening, Saturday, July 15, 2023, the Turkish Consulate in Erbil commemorated the anniversary of the military rebellion on July 15, 2016; Erbil Governor Omed Khoshnaw attended a special ceremony at the Divan Hotel for this purpose.

The nature of the coup and how it began was explained at the ceremony, and they were confronted by fighter jets and helicopters, "as well as the closure of airports, social networks, and other forms of communication."
