The Governor of Erbil visits the Diyarbakir Chamber of Commerce and Industry

On May 1, 2024, Governor Omed Khoshnaw of Erbil, alongside the Presidents of the Erbil and Dohuk Chambers of Commerce and Industry, paid a visit to the Diyarbakir "Amed" Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Their goal was to enhance economic and trade ties, and to boost commercial activities at the international border gate, Ibrahim Khalil - Khabur. They were welcomed by Mehmet Kaya, Chairman of the Diyarbakir Chamber of Commerce and Industry "Amed", along with the administrative team and chamber members.
 

At the meeting, Governor Khoshnaw discussed the economic landscape and strategies to bolster economic and commercial ties among the Diyarbakir, Erbil, and Dohuk Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
 

He also addressed the movement and trade conditions at the border crossings, emphasizing the need to find effective solutions to enhance economic, industrial, commercial, and investment cooperation between the Kurdistan Region and Turkey.
 

Khoshnaw emphasized that the Erbil Governorate has been dedicated to fostering economic, commercial, and industrial growth in alignment with the current laws and regulations in the Kurdistan Region. He assured that all necessary legal and administrative support would be extended to companies, entrepreneurs, and investors. Additionally, he urged Turkish investors and businessmen to actively participate in enhancing the trade, industry, and investment sectors in Erbil.
 

Mehmet Kaya, Chairman of the Diyarbakir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AMED), expressed his appreciation for the visit of Governor Khoshnaw and his delegation, highlighting their participation in the Mesopotamia Tourism and Agriculture Exhibition in Diyarbakir. He emphasized the importance of strengthening and advancing industrial and commercial relations between the Kurdistan Region and Turkey.
 

At the end of the visit, symbolic gifts were exchanged between the Governor of Erbil and the Chairman of the Diyarbakir Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Amed, as a gesture of goodwill and partnership.
