ERBIL GOVERNOR RECEIVES SECRETARY-GENERAL OF ARAB TOWNS ORGANIZATION
Today, March 28, 2024. Omed Khoshnaw, the Governor of Erbil, received Abdulrahman Asfour, the Secretary-General of the Arab Towns Organization, at the Governor's Office.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the organization's roles and activities, emphasizing the importance of developing relations between both parties.
The Secretary-General announced that their organization's conference would be held in Erbil in 2026, stating, "We have designated Erbil, the capital of Kurdistan Region, as the host city for our organization's conference, as it is the most stable and secure city in the region."
The Governor of Erbil expressed his pleasure at the selection of Erbil as the host city and pledged full support and facilities for the conference's success. He highlighted the special affection that Kurdistan Region's citizens hold for the Kuwaiti people and expressed hope for strengthening relations between the organization and Erbil Governorate.
