In a statement, the Governor of Erbil emphasized that this day highlights the foundational principle of coexistence in the Kurdistan Region. He noted that this principle reflects the direct commitment of the ninth cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government to further strengthen the spirit of brotherhood among the region’s ethnic and cultural communities, particularly in Erbil.
It is worth mentioning that November 17 was designated as Turkmen Language and Culture Day by the Kurdistan Parliament. Every year, on this occasion, relevant institutions organize special ceremonies where, in addition to presenting various artistic and cultural activities, awards are given to individuals and educators who have contributed significantly to promoting and developing the Turkmen language and culture.
