The Governor of Erbil and the Governor of Kurdistan Stress Importance of Developing Relations

Today, Tuesday, May 20, 2025, Erbil Governor Omed Khoshnaw and Kurdistan Governor Arash Zarehtan Lahoni held a joint press conference in Sanandaj upon the arrival of the Kurdistan Regional Government delegation, emphasizing the importance of developing relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Kurdistan Region.

From his side, the Governor of Erbil thanked the Governor of Sanandaj and other senior city officials for their welcome. He also offered great thanks to the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Erbil, highly appreciating his efforts and preparations for organizing the visit. He also conveyed his pleasure at visiting Sanandaj.
 

It is worth noting that today, the Kurdistan Regional Government delegation arrived in the city of Sanandaj within the framework of the third meeting of border provinces. Over the next two days, they will hold several important meetings and discussions with the governors of (West Azerbaijan "Urmia", Sanandaj "Kurdistan Province", Kermanshah) with the aim of strengthening trade movement and conditions, promoting the cultural sphere, and boosting economic relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Kurdistan Region.
