The Governor of Erbil receives the French Consul General

On Sunday, March 24, 2024, the Governor of Erbil, Omed Khoshnaw, received at the governorate’s office the French Consul General in Erbil, Yann Braem, and an accompanying delegation.
 

At the meeting, the Governor of Erbil extended a warm welcome to the guests, emphasizing the longstanding friendship between the people of Kurdistan and France. Additionally, he underscored the importance of enhancing political, economic, commercial, cultural, and artistic ties between France and the Kurdistan Region.
 

He further expressed, "Within the Kurdistan Regional Government and Erbil Governorate, we are committed to fostering trade and economic partnerships with France alongside our diplomatic engagements." He emphasized, "Our doors are wide open to all French companies and investors interested in operating in Erbil. As the Erbil Governorate, we pledge to facilitate all necessary provisions within the guidelines and regulations set forth by the regional government."

The French Consul General in Erbil, in turn, conveyed gratitude to the Governor of Erbil, acknowledging the cooperation, support, and coordination extended by the Erbil Governorate towards French companies and the French Consulate. He also affirmed his readiness to persist in enhancing relations between the Kurdistan Region and France across various domains.
