The Governor of Erbil receives an International Relief Organization delegation

On Wednesday, May 24, 2023. Erbil Governor Omed Khoshnaw received a delegation of Relief International Organization, escorted by Dr. Ali Rashid, President of Erbil Provincial Council, in the presence of Deputy Governor Masoud Karash.

During the meeting, while being welcomed by the governor of Erbil, Dr. Ali Rashid, president of the Erbil provincial council, mentioned the organization's conference held in the Iraqi parliament about the changes in the weather and their effects on citizen security.

"Next year, three workshops on climate change and its negative repercussions on citizen security will be held in Erbil, Baghdad, and Basra," he added, "and the results of the three workshops will be presented to the Iraqi parliament to take the necessary decisions in this regard."

The Governor of Erbil, for his part, supported the proposal and emphasized his willingness to do all it takes to make the initiative a success in the public interest.

The organization is headquartered in the United States and has various branches around Europe.
