Erbil Citadel... Commemorating the World Music Day

The French Institute in Erbil, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Culture in Erbil and the Directorate of Erbil Citadel, organized a concert on the occasion of World Music Day at the amphitheater of Erbil Citadel on Thursday, June 15, 2023, in the presence of the Governor of Erbil, Omed Khoshnaw.
 

And the revival of the first World Music Day in France occurred on June 21, 1982, when free live music was performed in the streets, stores, and roads leading to the mountain peaks. The commemoration of music spread from France to the rest of the world, as this day has become a global event observed by many nations.
 

This international day recognizes that music is the essence of life, has the ability to immediately calm an individual's mood, and is viewed by some as an escape from the pain of life by reducing stress.
