Erbil: Discussion over the citadel's restoration

Today, July 11, 2023, in the presence of Hemn Qadir, Deputy Governor of Erbil, Nabaz Abdulrahman, Erbil Central Mayor, Head of Erbil Municipality, and Director of Municipality 1, a meeting was held with Nihad Qoja, Director of the High Commission for the Restoration of Erbil Citadel, and other experts.
 

They discussed the possibility of involving the private sector in the reconstruction and restoration of Erbil Citadel and emphasized the necessity of taking legal action in accordance with UNESCO guidelines.
 

Several projects on the Citadel and the Cihan University's cultural house were visited during the field visit.
