 The Erbil Governor and the Russian Consul explored the Citadel and various cultural and historical sites within the Qaysari Bazaar of Erbil during their visit

Today, Sunday, March 10, 2024, Erbil Governor Omed Khoshnaw received Maxim Rubin, the Consul General of Russian Federation in Erbil, at Machko Cultural Cafe in Erbil.
 

During the meeting, the governor emphasized enhancing ties between the Kurdistan Region and Russia. He expressed full support for the responsibilities of the Russian Consul General in Erbil and conveyed his best wishes for success. Additionally, he expressed hope that the Russian Consul General would play a role in advancing the historical relations between the Kurdistan Region and Russia.
 

In response, the Russian Consul General in Erbil expressed his admiration for Erbil's culture and ancient history. He conveyed pleasure with the meeting and highlighted the peace, security, and freedom established in the Kurdistan Region, specifically in Erbil. Additionally, he praised the city's progress and prosperity.

Following that, the Governor and the Russian Consul General explored various cultural and historical landmarks in the Qaysari Bazaar.
 

Then the Russian Consul General in Erbil, out of love for Kurdistan and the Peshmerga and on the occasion of the celebrations of March and Newroz, sewed Kurdish clothes for Newroz, as a gesture of congratulations to the citizens of the region.
