Erbil... Investment Meeting Between Kurdistan Region and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Held

This morning, Sunday, February 8, 2026, an investment meeting between the Kurdistan Region and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was held.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohammed Shukri, Head of the Investment Board; Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil; Safeen Dizayee, Head of the Kurdistan Region's Department of Foreign Relations; Dr. Abdulhakim Khosraw, Head of the Department of Coordination and Follow-up; Dr. Mohammed Suleiman Al-Othairi, Saudi Consul in Erbil; Sarwar Hawari, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Trade and Industry; and a number of companies and businessmen.
 

During the meeting, emphasis was placed on the strong ties between the Kurdistan Region and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the favorable environment, the economic situation, suitable grounds, and investment opportunities for capitalists. Furthermore, mechanisms and steps for joint work between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia were reiterated.
 

At the same time, emphasis was placed on understanding and advancing work in accordance with the joint agreement between both sides. All these preparations have been realized through the strategic vision of His Excellency Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government.
